Welcome

The Pittwater shire, situated on the northern most tip of Sydney's Northern Beaches is one of the most beautiful areas on the eastern coast of Australia. It attracts many accomplished and emerging artists, making it must visit place for art enthusiasts and collectors.

The aim of Pittwater Community Arts (PCA) is to enhance, embrace and extend the arts and cultural life of the Pittwater shire. The concept of an umbrella organisation that searches for the true vision of the cultural essence of Pittwater is our ultimate goal.

Pittwater Community Arts:

  • collaborates with Pittwater Council with the Calendar of Art and is currently developing the Cultural Plan for Pittwater.
  • has applied for and was granted a $20,000 Recurrent Grant from Pittwater Council
  • supports the bi-annual Pittwater Artfest, celebrating youth art
  • begun to develop a database for artists and cultural groups to support networks in Pittwater and beyond
  • holds successful showcases of Pittwater artists
  • celebrates National Trust Heritage Festival
  • and continues to respond to the directions identified by the artists of Pittwater

Please take a moment to browse through our artists directory and cultural events calendar to see what the Pittwater shire has on offer.

Welcome to the inaugural Pittwater Artists Trail Home Studios 2011/2012

As many locals know, Pittwater is home to a creative, artistically rich community. Many artists in this community produce from home and have not been, until now, directly accessible. The Pittwater Artists Trail provides an ongoing and permanent structure to engage our wider community, including visitors, with our local artists and artisans.

Participating artists and craftspeople welcome visits and sell their work from their home studios. Each has their open-times listed in our brochure or can be visited by appointment.

The Pittwater Artists Trail brochure can be viewed at http://www.pittwaterarts.com/docs/artistsTrailBrochure.pdf and is valid until Feb 2012.

Pittwater Artists Trail website can be viewed at pittwaterartiststrail.com.au.

Whether you are a resident or a visitor, may you enjoy our thriving artistic community and the beautiful natural environment that inspires it!
